A character, a world and a film for the feature that makes a trader invisible.
Twenty seconds, one turn.
Leak detected. The room fills. He presses Gh0st. The screens shatter, the crowd is thrown back, and the room empties. The product does not get explained once.
Sell privacy to people who never asked for it.
Genius is a crypto terminal. Gh0st is the feature inside it that lets a trader execute with reduced on-chain visibility, so their positions cannot be read and copied the moment they open.
The problem with launching it is that the benefit is invisible by definition. Nothing happens on screen. There is no dashboard to demo and no number that goes up. A feature list would have died on arrival, because the audience does not experience the threat as a technical one. They experience it as being watched.
So we did not explain the feature. We dramatised the feeling, built a character worth following, and let the product arrive as the resolution.
A trader worth copying.
He had to be good enough that stealing his positions is a rational thing to do. Confident rather than smug, young enough to be native to the terminal, styled with the specificity of someone who exists outside the trade. Every choice was drawn by hand and locked into a full turnaround before a single frame was animated, so the face stays the same character from the first shot to the last.
Give the threat a face.
Copy trading has no villain. It is an anonymous behaviour carried out by strangers who will never be identified, which makes it hard to feel and impossible to picture.
So we drew one. A crew of masked figures in black, caps down, eyes lit, no features to hold on to. They never speak and never attack. They simply arrive, crowd the desk and read the screens over his shoulder. The horror is that nothing violent happens at all.
The interface arrives last.
Only once the story has resolved does the film show the terminal itself, in the state the viewer now wants: a clean chart, a private position, nobody reading over a shoulder.
Genius carried the same language through to the product. The Gh0st screen inside the terminal uses the mark from the film, so a user who arrived from the video lands somewhere they recognise.
You cannot demo invisibility.
A feature whose whole value is that nothing happens will never sell on a screenshot. It has to be given a character to protect, a threat to escape, and twenty seconds in which both are true.
