La Cabra.

Lacoste turned their crocodile into a goat for Novak Djokovic. We wanted to see what happens when you take that idea completely seriously.

/01The Moment

92 years.

Not an engagement. Just the thinking we’d bring to one.
Spec homage from AndMelo, unaffiliated with Lacoste and Novak Djokovic.

Lacoste retired its crocodile for the first time in nearly a century: replacing it with a goat, to crown Novak Djokovic the greatest of all time.

It is one of the boldest things a heritage house can do: take the mark that is the brand, the one thing you are told never to touch, and change the animal. For one athlete. For one reason.

Most brands would have explained it. Added a line, a hashtag, a manifesto film about greatness. We wanted to see what the idea looks like when nobody explains it at all.

/02The Goat

Greatest of all time. World No.1.

Symbolism over explanation. The goat is the athlete: precision, tenacity, the long climb. He lives in the sky and treats it like a pavement. The No.1 sits at his throat, and we never explain it once.

/03The Idea

So we gave him a world.

A goat in the sky, living on giant tennis balls like it’s nothing: walking, gathering, leaping the gap, until the balls resolve into the Lacoste crocodile itself.

No cut at the end. One unbroken pullout to the full mark, because a cut breaks the spell. No logo animation either: the logo is already there, built from the only material the film has.

/04The Craft

The absurd, played dead straight.

Realism is the delivery system. The idea only reads as luxury when the execution is rigid, soften it anywhere and the whole thing becomes a cartoon.

/05The Signature

Colour as structure.

Our 60/30/10 rule, applied to a world made of tennis balls. Sixty sky, thirty goat, ten optic green. A whole film built from three values, which is why every frame cuts together without grading gymnastics.

Greatness needs tension. The boldest luxury is restraint.
